Nicki Minaj Performed and Teyana Taylor Shut Down the Phillip Plein Show

Rockstar designer Philipp Plein put on an amazing show for attendees gathered to view his Spring/Summer 2018 collection during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The event was packed with celebrities, fashionistas and entertainers.

Attendees were treated to a Nicki Minaj and Yo Gotti performance of their hit single “Rake It Up” and a Future performance.Plein is most popular in Russian and Asian markets and held his show during NYFW to increase American awareness of the brand.

Teyana Taylor’s Sultry Strut

A highlight for showgoers was Teyana Taylor closing the Plein show with a sexy, gyrating strut down the catwalk. Teyana took to Instagram to celebrate her iconic runway moment.

“When the haters tried to say I was too extra yesterday,” said Taylor referring to critics who believed her modeling performance yesterday, while closing the GCDS show, was too animated.

A Star-Studded Audience

There were almost 2,000 fans and invited guests that never made it into the show venue. Security struggled to maintain order at the entrance of the Hammerstein Ballroom. Many of the crowd outside were fans struggling to see the star-studded audience.
