Canada Goose celebrated their 60th anniversary in Toronto last night with a star-studded party that included style influencer Olivia Culpo, and actress and model Kate Upton. The event was aptly held during the Toronto International Film Festival, as the coat brand is known as the “unofficial jacket of film crews everywhere.”
Olivia Culpo wore a sequined Sally LaPointe suite over a black bralette and paired the ensemble with a black choker. Her makeup was done by celeb makeup artist Liz Castellanos, and her signature bob was tousled with loose curls by David Cannon.
Olivia wasn’t able to much sight-seeing as her trip to Toronto was lasted a short 8-hours. For her journey, Olivia paired together 2 brands to create an all too appropriate Canadian tuxedo look. She rocked a Jean Atelier denim jacket and a pair of RE/DONE jeans.
Kate Upton also took a break from New York Fashion Week, attending the anniversary fete in full-length black ruched dress. Just the evening before, Kate headed to Vogue’s premiere of “House of Z,” a documentary that tracks Designer, Zac Posen’s rise, fall, and reemergence on the fashion scene. House of Z debuted exclusively on Vogue.com on September 6.
During the Canada Goose party, attendees sipped champagne and snacked on a ton of decadent small bites. Some of the brand’s most iconic coats were dispersed throughout event for guests to admire. The coat brand also promoted the release of their new book, Greatness is Out There, which chronicles their Made in Canada success story and authentic heritage. The book features the personal stories of ‘Goose People’ along with a look back at collaborations that pushed the brand into new areas of fashion, art, and design.
